HubSpot Service Hub pricing starts at $7 per paid seat per month for Starter with annual billing, or $20 per seat per month with a monthly commitment. Professional starts at $90 per seat per month with annual billing, or $100 with a monthly commitment, plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee. Enterprise starts at $150 per seat per month, is billed annually, and requires $3,500 onboarding.
Free is listed for up to two users. These are public starting prices, not a quote. Region, account history, bundles, billing terms, and checkout conditions can affect the final amount. The figures and limits below were checked against HubSpot’s public Service Hub pricing page and product and services catalog on October 11, 2026. Recheck both before purchase.
The useful budgeting rule is simple: calculate paid Service Seats first, then add one-time onboarding, account-level capacity, usage, add-ons, taxes, and implementation separately. That distinction matters because credits, inboxes, calling minutes, workflows, segments, dashboards, and many other limits are generally not multiplied by headcount.
HubSpot Service Hub pricing at a glance
| Plan | Annual billing | Monthly commitment | Required onboarding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0; up to 2 users | $0; up to 2 users | None listed |
| Starter | From $7 per seat/month | From $20 per seat/month | None listed |
| Professional | From $90 per seat/month | From $100 per seat/month | $1,500 one time |
| Enterprise | From $150 per seat/month; billed annually | No monthly-commitment price verified | $3,500 one time |
For new customers after March 5, 2024, HubSpot documents seat-based pricing without additional seat minimums. Existing customers may remain on an older pricing model unless HubSpot contacts them. Full Professional and Enterprise functionality requires the corresponding paid Service Seat. A View-only Seat is not equivalent to a Service Seat.
Price the people who need paid Service functionality. Price credits, calling, inboxes, workflows, and other account-level capacity as separate budget lines.
Estimate the cost for your service team
Multiply the applicable starting seat price by the number of paid Service users. Annualize the result for a 12-month comparison, then add onboarding as a separate one-time cost. The examples below exclude taxes, implementation, integrations, training, usage, and optional add-ons.
| Plan and seats | Billing commitment | Recurring seat fees/year | First year with onboarding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter, 3 seats | Annual | $252 | $252 |
| Starter, 3 seats | Monthly | $720 | $720 |
| Starter, 5 seats | Annual | $420 | $420 |
| Starter, 5 seats | Monthly | $1,200 | $1,200 |
| Professional, 3 seats | Annual | $3,240 | $4,740 |
| Professional, 3 seats | Monthly | $3,600 | $5,100 |
| Professional, 5 seats | Annual | $5,400 | $6,900 |
| Professional, 5 seats | Monthly | $6,000 | $7,500 |
For 10 Professional seats, annual billing is $900 per month, or $10,800 in recurring seat fees for a year. Add $1,500 onboarding for a first-year seat-and-onboarding total of $12,300. At the monthly-commitment rate, 10 seats cost $1,000 per month, or $12,000 over 12 months; with onboarding, the comparable total is $13,500. Confirm the actual commitment and billing terms at checkout.
Seat type should be part of the estimate. Agents who need full Professional or Enterprise functionality need the corresponding Service Seat. A manager who only reviews records may need a different seat type, while an occasional collaborator may not need a paid Service Seat at all. Confirm each user’s role, permissions, and required features before counting them.
Use the same separation when estimating implementation. Recurring seat fees answer how much access costs. Onboarding answers a required one-time charge. Integrations, training, data work, configuration, and third-party services belong in separate lines rather than being hidden inside the seat estimate. HubSpot systems consulting can help map user roles and account-level requirements before procurement.
Included credits, account limits, and extra costs
Paid Service Hub subscriptions include monthly HubSpot Credits. Starter includes 500, Professional includes 3,000, and Enterprise includes 5,000. Credits reset monthly and unused credits do not roll over. When multiple HubSpot products are subscribed to, the included allowance is based on the highest subscription level and is not additive across products.
Customer Agent usage is credit-based. The current catalog lists 50 credits for resolving one text-based conversation and, in the listed voice beta entry, 50 credits per voice minute. Those are published usage units, not a promise that every message or conversation consumes the same amount. Keep text resolutions and voice minutes as separate forecast categories because their units differ.
Additional credits cost $0.010 per credit through Pay-as-You-Go or $10 per monthly 1,000-credit capacity pack. Pay-as-You-Go charges are invoiced in increments of 10 credits, and capacity packs apply for the remainder of the commitment term. For additional credits purchased on or after September 16, 2026, HubSpot documents Pay-as-You-Go as the default setting. Confirm the account’s current setting before forecasting overage.
Many limits are account-level or subscription-level rather than per-seat allowances. For example, the catalog lists one Starter inbox, up to 100 Professional inboxes, and up to 200 Enterprise inboxes. Starter includes up to 500 calling minutes per account per month, while Professional includes up to 3,000. Calling minutes are account-level, do not roll over, and calling is unavailable in some countries. Check the current catalog for the Enterprise calling allowance rather than assuming one.
Examples of documented paid limit increases include $50 per month for 1,000 additional calling minutes; $200 per month for 100 additional workflows; $200 per month for 100 additional active and 100 additional static segments; and $200 per month for 500 additional users. HubSpot also documents reporting, phone-number, API, and other limit increases. Edition restrictions apply, so verify eligibility before adding any of these costs to a quote.
HubSpot Payments is currently available to eligible customers in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada with a qualifying regional bank account. Underwriting and additional terms apply. Payment-processing charges and eligibility should be evaluated separately from Service Hub seat pricing.
A five-seat team does not automatically receive five times the inboxes, calling minutes, credits, workflows, or dashboards. Build the estimate with one row for seats and separate rows for account capacity, usage, required limit increases, onboarding, and external services.
Choose a plan by operational trigger, not team size
Team-size ranges are editorial guidance, not official HubSpot thresholds. Start with the work the support operation must perform, then verify each requirement in HubSpot’s live plan comparison and legal catalog. Feature access can depend on edition, seat type, permissions, channel, and account configuration.
- Free: Assess it for basic support needs and up to two users. Confirm current free-tool limits if the operation depends on a particular inbox, channel, reporting feature, or customer-facing asset.
- Starter: Consider it when the current routing, branding, calling, and email capabilities meet requirements at the lower paid entry price. The catalog lists one inbox and up to 500 calling minutes per account each month.
- Professional: Evaluate it when the confirmed feature set meets requirements for workflows, a larger inbox allowance, help-desk operations, knowledge-base work, customer feedback, or Customer Agent. Include the required onboarding and a credit budget.
- Enterprise: Choose it only when documented controls, limits, governance, or routing capabilities solve a defined business requirement. Verify current Enterprise entitlements rather than relying on a feature statement that may have changed.
A useful must-have list includes paid-seat roles, support channels, inbox count, automation, knowledge-base requirements, reporting, routing, governance, integrations, and expected credit use. Select the lowest edition that satisfies those verified requirements.
Budget Customer Agent before deploying it
Customer Agent is not a fixed-price, unlimited conversation allowance. At the currently listed text rate, estimate text usage as resolved text conversations multiplied by 50 credits. For example, 40 resolved text conversations would imply 2,000 credits. This is a planning calculation, not an invoice or promised capacity. Estimate voice-agent minutes separately using the applicable rate.
Customer Agent requires an assigned seat and appropriate permissions. Free users and View-only Seat users cannot use HubSpot Credits for this purpose. HubSpot documents a first-time 14-day free-access period. Treat that period as a temporary testing opportunity, not permanent free usage. Administrators can grant the agent permission to access or update CRM properties, so review write permissions at the field level before deployment.
A practical pilot starts with approved content and one compatible channel or a limited share of conversations. Use deterministic routing for known, structured or high-risk cases such as password resets, billing disputes, refunds, cancellations, security incidents, or legal requests. Let the agent handle suitable questions within approved content, then send ambiguous, sensitive, unsupported, or high-consequence requests to a human. Before expansion, compare resolutions, handoffs, failed or escalated cases, and credits consumed against a baseline.
HubSpot’s setup guide and deployment guide document permissions, content sources, supported actions, handoff rules, testing, channel deployment, and gradual rollout. The monitoring record below is an illustrative editorial design, not a native HubSpot export schema:
{
"conversation_id": "illustrative-conversation-id",
"event_time": "2026-11-01T14:30:00Z",
"result": "handed_off",
"action_taken": "none",
"credit_usage": 50,
"review_status": "pending"
}
Keep each conversation outcome at conversation grain with its conversation identifier and event time. Store a monthly account usage summary separately, keyed by account and reporting period, rather than mixing it into an individual conversation row. If an external system writes CRM fields, use an event identifier and a database-enforced unique constraint or transactional upsert. A lookup followed by create is not sufficient when concurrent workers can process the same event.
A proposed write-back design should validate allowed values, customer and ticket identity, field permissions, confidence thresholds, and sensitive-data rules before changing CRM properties. Record the source conversation or ticket, event time, agent or model version when available, instruction version, processing status, and reviewer status. Send validation failures and low-confidence cases to an exception queue instead of repeatedly retrying the same write. AI agent implementation is an optional resource for defining a bounded agent role and human handoff process.
HubSpot Service Hub or Zendesk?
Compare the operating model, not only the entry price. HubSpot is a stronger candidate when service interactions need to share context with CRM, sales, and marketing records. Zendesk is a strong candidate when the primary requirement is a dedicated omnichannel support platform. Both products offer support capabilities and integrations, so neither positioning statement determines fit for every operation.
Zendesk currently lists Support Team at $19 per agent per month billed yearly and Suite Team at $55 per agent per month billed yearly. These are different product families, not direct equivalents to HubSpot editions. Zendesk Suite includes support channels such as messaging, email, voice, SMS, and live chat, alongside agent workspace and reporting capabilities. Compare the same agent count, billing term, channels, AI usage, knowledge-base scope, onboarding, reporting, integrations, and add-ons before drawing a total-cost conclusion. See Zendesk pricing and its Suite plan descriptions.
Validate the business case with your own support baseline
HubSpot’s 2025 ROI report states that customers with Service Hub saw a 57% increase in ticket close rate after six months. The same report states that customers saw 39% less time closing tickets with Customer Agent. These are aggregate vendor-reported outcomes, not independent benchmarks or controlled causal estimates. The 39% statement should not be converted into a guaranteed per-ticket time saving or presented as the percentage of customers who improved.
Set a baseline period and an evaluation period using the same metric definitions. Track median first response, median resolution time, close rate, reopen rate, escalation rate, Customer Agent resolution and handoff rates, and credits per resolved conversation. Keep individual observations linked to a conversation or ticket identifier and event time. Store monthly account summaries separately with a defined reporting period. CRM systems consulting can be relevant when the work involves data ownership, permissions, or measurement design.
A pre-purchase checklist
- Confirm billing term, seat types, paid-seat count, onboarding, and any existing-customer pricing arrangement.
- Check required inboxes, calling, workflows, dashboards, segments, users, API volume, and applicable limit-increase prices against the current catalog.
- Estimate included credits, expected overage, calling needs, and other usage as account-level budget lines.
- Confirm Customer Agent seat eligibility, permissions, channel compatibility, credit setting, allowed CRM properties, and human handoff behavior.
- Separate implementation, integrations, training, privacy controls, data ownership, and regional payment eligibility from subscription pricing.
- Resolve any difference between the public pricing page and legal catalog before purchase.
- Record the pricing and limit retrieval date because public offers, feature entitlements, and marketplace content can change.
Use the pricing page for the public offer and the legal catalog for detailed terms and limits. Verify the exact quote, seat types, onboarding, usage settings, and entitlements at checkout.
